Big Issue Magazine: Do You See Me?

We are so thrilled to share the launch of the latest Big Issue, a historic edition which is the first to be entirely co-produced by people with learning disabilities!

This special edition was made possible by Mencap and Big Issue teaming up together to create an edition about the disabled community and by the disabled community.


ARTXV artist Tara, a Mencap 'Mythbuster', took part in the production of the magazine, with her artwork featured.

This year's theme is Do you see me? Do you see me, is about being seen, heard and valued - a positive message created by people with a learning disability to build a movement of change.

The Big Issue is the UK's number one street paper and social enterprise, supporting people who are homeless, long term unemployed or in need of extra cash to avoid falling into debt, with a third of vendors experiencing homelessness.
